Stage 1 of Goodman Business Park in Japan achieves 95% occupancy, with strong pre-lease enquiry for Stage 2 of the master-planned development

Goodman Group (Goodman or Group) is pleased to announce that it has signed additional leases in the recently completed Stage 1 of Goodman Business Park in Chiba Newtown, Greater Tokyo. This successful activity has resulted in 95% occupancy being achieved within six weeks of construction completion.

 

Stage 1 of Goodman Business Park comprises a 116,000 sqm, four-storey, high specification, multi-customer logistics facility. Customers who have signed leases in the property include:

 

  • SBS Logicom Co., Ltd. a leading Japanese 3PL
  • Welcia Yakkyoku Co., Ltd. a leading Japanese drugstore chain operator
  • Nakano Shokai Co., Ltd. a Japanese logistics service specialist
  • Dolphin Supply Chain, a Chinese cross border supply chain company
  • Skechers Japan G.K., a US headquarted global footwear and apparel company

 

Goodman has now also commenced the development of Stage 2 of the project. This stage will comprise a 125,000 sqm, four-storey, high specification, multi-customer logistics facility for completion in January 2018. Reflecting the strong demand from Stage 1, Goodman is in advanced discussions with multiple customers to pre-lease Stage 2 of the project.
